Polite On Society Fourteenth Anniversary

Greetings, everyone. May 17th, 2023 is the 14-year anniversary of Polite On Society. Since I will likely be too busy tomorrow, I am sharing this post a day ahead of time. That is a long time to be a blogger, isn’t it? In continuing to do this, I have made necessary pivots from regular posting to bringing in different guest writers to address topics in a refreshing manner. My personal viewpoint on writing for an audience involves having respect for my audience. I don’t ever make the presumption that this is the only blog you are reading, so if I see a topic that has been touched upon elsewhere, I typically won’t re-hash it here. I respect my readers enough not to regurgitate the same ten topics that the blogosphere/social media is going off about, regardless of the numbers boost it may give this space.

Here, I intentionally focus on broader perspectives. I highlight books and authors you may or may not have seen elsewhere that I think are doing interesting things and talk about concepts, not people. The content here is meant to edify, not tear down.

As always, I would like to thank those of you who are still subscribed. I definitely appreciate your continued support. Also, shout out to all my collaborators, guest writers, influencers, librarians, and publicists. Many of you play a role in bringing your respective audiences to this platform. Splitting my attention between this blog and other writing projects is no easy task(And.. yes… I am working on another book *Smile*) , but it is necessary.
