Good afternoon, everyone. I’m sure some of you have heard the news already, but I wanted to share it here too. Joe Biden has been officially declared the winner of the 2020 election.
In the first time since 1992, an incumbent president has lost a re-election bid. The most obvious factor that led to Trump’s loss was his egregious mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic. That, along with many other factors became his political undoing. He didn’t act sufficiently to protect this country, and downplayed the public health threat that it was.
The nation collectively breathes a sigh of relief as it discovers that there will be a new president.
