Everything to Learn,Nothing to Teach: Second Anniversary

Greetings everyone! Today is April 4th, and that means it is my bookiversary. For those who have been following my blog for a while, you may have noticed that I tend to promote heavier in the Spring. In my opinion, it’s a good time to promote the work, as people are more likely to venture out at this time than during the dead of winter. As the weather gets warmer (and yesterday was nice too) you’ll see me more at events in person. Readers should know that I will be present at this year’s Bronx Book Fair on Saturday, May 6th.

When I launched my second book two years ago in the Spring of 2015, I had no idea what kind of response I would get. I put a few things out there that could have opened me up for ridicule and derision, but that didn’t happen. So much has changed in just 2 years, and looking back, I am glad I stood on my principles. I wouldn’t change the way that I wrote the book at all.

Today, in an example of synchronicity, the “1984 in the 21st century” anthology releases. My essay contribution in it deals with political themes, and debuts on the same day that the character Winston Smith starts his journal in the novel 1984. I didn’t deliberately plan that.. crazy.

I’m going to see “1984” today, and am looking forward to it. The film of the novel  (which I have not seen) will be playing in theaters across the country.

Just so you all know,  today fans of 1984 can receive a digital ebook of 1984 in the 21st Century by entering the code 1984FREE on RiverdaleAveBooks.com
This is true today only. Before I end this post, I want to say thanks to all my readers for the support. Also, shout out to the other bloggers who have shown interest, and helped cross promote my two books. Your feedback is helpful. Until next blog post… Peace!
