The federal government is partially shut down today, and those that work for the federal government have already been affected. Those who have been following, know that this latest effort of obstruction is due to the expected enactment of the Affordable Care Act. House Republicans have decided to make good on their threats, and punish hundreds of thousands of working people to make a political statement. Many are already calling this a selfish move, one that technically does little to affect “Obama Care” since the marketplace opens today regardless. The open question at this point is how long will this last?
