Greetings readers! I have some great news to share with you. This Friday that just passed, I have learned that Polite On Society has been nominated for Best Political Or News Blog. The organization that recognized this site is the Black Weblog Awards, the same outlet that hosted this years Blogging While Brown conference in Philadelphia this past June. This is awesome and exciting news. As many of you know, this site was nominated and clinched the award for Best Black Blog of 2011 from the Historical Black Press Foundation. The continued recognition means so much, and confirms that this site is indeed making an impact.
I truly am honored. I want to thank everyone for reading, sharing, and commenting on this blog. With your continuing support, who knows how far this can go? You will be hearing more from me about how to show support as soon as more details become available.
