This afternoon, the United States launched missiles against Libya. What is described by the Pentagon as Operation Odyssey Dawn began as cruise missiles were fired against Gaddafi’s forces. Not merely being an effort on the part of the U.S., France and Britain are part of the intervening coalition. This is part of the effort to stop Gaddafi(allegedly) from oppressing his own people. At this moment, over 100 missiles have been fired, at various targets.
Now that we have the United States involved in hostilities with three different countries in the Middle East, what does that bode for the state of long term international relations in that region? As this conflict takes it course, it is sure to have reverberations for the U.S., the Middle East, and the rest of the world as well. We will all see what this means.
boy don’t you know they hate us for our freedom? at least that’s the dumb stuff Bush used to spout.
Ha ha. I know right?
