Good morning, my readers. Polite On Society is a participating site in the Power Read 25, an initiative focused on 25 books about Black women that have shaped American literature. There is also a broadcast component present.
And this week, we invite you to join us for The Banned Shelf, the first installment of our Reading Is Resistance series, premiering Thursday, October 8 at 7 PM ET on the Unerased | Black Women Speak YouTube channel. The conversation explores literary erasure through the words of Black women writers whose work has been challenged or restricted.
