Greetings, my readers. Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the second annual Jersey City Black Comic Con. For those of you who may recall, I attended last year’s event. This year, I attended as a book vendor.  This is the first time that I have attended any comic book convention as an author. Given the crowd there, it was a natural fit. As the author of “The Binge Watcher’s Guide to Black Mirror”, there was no shortage of people to talk to about the show. The conversations that I was able to have about the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence and how it affects social media were worth coming out just by themselves. Quiet as kept, among the community of sci-fi/comic book/anime fandom, there are so many thoughtful, and open-minded people. I was grateful to meet a few of them this past Saturday.

There were a few authors and illustrators there as well. Among them were Jocelyn Short, and Michael Markman. Science fiction author Ezekiel Springer was also there, with his book “The Ananda Accords”

Gaming was well represented at JC Black Comic Con. Gotta Go Gaming Hub was there, with the set up of a few gaming stations towards the back of the room. It was always crowded, so I did not get a chance to play. It was still fun to watch though.

Speaking of gaming, there was this very interesting cosplayer there. A participant that called themselves “God of Gaming” had an entire costume made of consoles, and controllers. Xbox, Super Nintendo, Gamecube, he was wearing it.

All in all, I had fun at JC Black Comic Con 2025. I was truly in my element. Thank you to everyone who stopped by my table and engaged me.

The next stop on my book tour will be “Seize The Cure” for Epilepsy Awareness Event at the Sonia Sotomayor community center in the Bronx this Saturday. Until next blog post, peace!
