Good afternoon, everyone. Summer is a quiet time when it comes to books. With mostly everyone wanting to finally get out and enjoy outside, staying in and reading is not a top priority. However, for the minority of people who want to read something different, the recently reopened New York Public Library is continuing the conversation that started with the Schomburg Literary Festival last month. Among the authors present were authors from the Harlem Writers Guild. For those who have not seen it, the video of the HWG reading under the theme of Juneteenth 2021 “Words Like Freedom” is available on the NYPL website. View at your own leisure.
