Are You Still A Slave?

1619 Project Poetry Event at Brooklyn Public Library November 13th

2019 marks the 400th year since enslaved Africans were brought to North America. Across the country organizations, city agencies, neighborhood associations, religious institutions and individuals will be creating public events for learning and reflection.

We are bringing awareness to the plight of enslave Africans using different forums to pay homage showing their plight, legacies and accomplishments.

Come out to the Saratoga Library for an evening of poetry and spoken word.
