Good evening, my readers. Today, I am sure most of you have heard about the college admissions scandal. There was an investigation conducted, and it was discovered that a group of rich parents pretty much bribed top reputation colleges into accepting their children.
This story is of course no surprise… it occurs much more often than anyone wants to admit.. this is how we get the business and political leadership that we have right now.. a system constructed on privilege, favoritism, and nepotism.
While the children of working class people are told that we must work harder than everyone else, rich parents pay their kids way through all the hoops the rest of us have to jump.
How many financially disadvantaged, but deserving students got denied a shot at higher education because those gigantic bags were being dropped off by some kids loaded parents?
So much for meritocracy..
