Good morning, my readers! Today is an important day. It’s the ninth anniversary of this blog. I started Polite on Society on this day in 2009, when so much was simpler.
Of course, I would like to thank each and every one of you for reading, sharing, and retweeting links to my blog. You can’t have a whole website without an audience.
We’ve done some interesting, and original things here. You have seen me cover conferences, interview authors, ask pointed questions in opinion pieces, and call attention to political issues, locally, nationally, and even internationally. It is my calling, and I accept that.
In writing pieces for this blog, it inspired me to springboard into the world of being an author. So yeah, this is the origin point of it all. 3 books, 2 anthology submissions, and 3 conference presentations also emerged from this site.
For those who can make it out, I will be having a book signing at Sister’s Uptown Bookstore tonight at 6pm for Poetic Ruminations Volume 2.
