Greetings my readers. In between blog posts, I have been working behind the scenes to promote my books. I intend to go just as hard with my promo as I did last Spring and summer. Given that this is an election year, I may just have to double my efforts.
We are in an interesting election cycle, and it’s just January. The Sanders campaign is picking up steam, despite conventional political wisdom saying it wasn’t possible. Trump is threatening to pick up his ball and go home, and gaining support in every move that appears to buck the political establishment. I’m seeing discussions about political concepts and conversations about socialism, dialectical materialism, and fascism in a way I haven’t seen.. ever. For the first time in a long while, I feel like I can put my knowledge of Political Science to some type of use. #FaReal
With all of this happening, now is the time to dive in. If we’re gonna talk about these concepts, then let’s talk about them. I know I veered off from the title of this post a little bit, but it would be kind of crazy if I stayed silent at a time like this, wouldn’t it?
With that said, I am scheduled to make an author appearance at the 13th National Black Writers Conference at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn. I’m looking forward to seeing a few people there. Peace.
