When it comes to cooking, moms get all the love but Dads are throwing down in the kitchen, too. From time-to-time we encounter a single dad whose doing great things, especially in the kitchen. When we were approached to publish this recipe from a single dad we couldn’t wait to share it. Make this one, send in your photos and let us know what you think. DADDY’S HARLEM HOOD BARS

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour (or Gluten-Free flour if preferred)
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • One stick of melted butter or margarine
  • 1 can (14 ounce) can of Eagle Brand condensed sweetened milk
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of chopped walnuts (Optional)

COMBINE INGREDIENTS

  • Combine flour and baking powder and whisk together in a large bowl
  • In a smaller bowl combine your melted butter and 14 ounces of condensed sweetened milk
  • Whisk them as well
  • Combine liquid ingredients into your dry ingredients
  • Add chocolate chips and chopped walnuts
  • Pour your mixture into a glass baking pan
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until an inserted fork comes out clean
