Good afternoon, everyone. There are times when you may not even realize what you are influenced by. Pictured above is a very old book called Critics of Society. It was written by T.B. Bottomore, a British sociologist active during the 1960s and 70s.
I believe that this is one of my father’s old books. He was a reader as well. It’s kinda funny how this site ended up being named Polite On Society. I lean towards talking about social issues, but forgot that this book was in my possession.
Ideas don’t just fall out of the sky. It’s possible that this book title was somewhere in my subconscious, and I just decided to run with it. Inspiration doesn’t have to be direct.
