Good morning, my readers. This week marks five years since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. I came across a few news articles reminding me of this. It is hard to accept that it has been that long. Half a decade.
This moment gives me pause, and I think about the people lost to this illness. According to the statistics, more than 1 million Americans passed away from Covid.
Being from New York City, where the first wave hit the hardest, drudges up a lot for this writer. Before I start my day, I can’t help but think of the family members, friends, and acquaintances that did not make it.
They deserve to be remembered.
