Good afternoon, everyone. 2025 is slogging along, and we’re already overwhelmed. Factoring in the reality of the first month of the year being the most difficult time to start anything, and current social and political realities, it’s not hard to understand why.
For this reason, the theme for Polite On Society for Spring 2025 is Recognize and Regroup.
It means recognizing situations and predicaments for what they are, and regrouping as to how to address them.
This can apply to many aspects of life. For example, if you happen to be side tracked on your goals for 2025, and you feel knocked off of your square. There’s no need to feel permanently defeated. You can recognize that you are a bit off, and redouble your efforts to get back on track.
Also, let’s say what is: Many feel under siege by the actions of the first week of the Trump Administration. In a blistering assault, all of these executive orders are coming out, upsetting large swaths of the American population. Doing harm to the intended targets, and unintended targets as well.
Recognize and Regroup can apply to groups of people as well.
