Good afternoon, my readers. This Saturday, join the Harlem Writers Guild for a virtual celebration of its 70th anniversary. Side note: technically, the guild is 71, but the anniversary event could not be convened in 2020 due to the pandemic. Established in 1950, the Harlem Writers Guild is the oldest, African American writers guild in the world. I am personally inviting you as one of my readers to this celebration of Black literary history, and to see what our contemporary offerings are as well. This event will be hosted by Danny Tisdale, and the Keynote Speaker is author and activist Kevin Powell.
