Good evening everyone. The journey of a writer is part of the process. I can’t speak for every writer, but I know that recognition for my words did not come the moment I decided to publicly put pen to paper, so to speak. It took me years, and it has been some adventure. I’m pontificating a little bit, because I think of what it means to take your literary endeavors seriously. I would like to share the news with you all about an article that I was recently featured in.
As many of you know, I participated in a poetry contest for Jackie Robinson Poetry Day, and won the Gregg Dotoli Poetry Prize. I, along with many poets were recently featured on the Poets and Writers website discussing the events of the day. Poets and Writers is among the most respected literary publications in the country, so it is a big deal to me to garner a mention on their website. This is such an honor.
Thanks to James Browning Kepple of Underground Books for the mention in the write up, and thanks to my readers for the continued support. It helps immensely. Until next post… peace!
