Greetings readers. It’s Black History Month, and with events in full swing, I want to let folks in Harlem know that there is a planning meeting for the African American Day Parade this month. Yes, I know its not until September, but planning is already under way. If you are serious about having a say in this year’s event, consider attending if you can.
The details are below.
We invite you to our Board Meeting to kick off our 46th annual African-American Heritage Day Parade to be held on Sunday September 20, 2015 beginning at 1 PM on 111th St. and ACP Jr. Blvd. to 136th St.and Malcolm X Blvd. in Harlem, NY.
The meeting will on Saturday February 21, 2015 at 2 PM at the Malcolm Shabazz Curtural Center, enter at 102 West 116th St. and Malcolm X Blvd., Harlem, NY.
Our theme is ‘Power through Unity’ this year we will be honoring the African-American Business Community, so anyone you know is a African-American business man or woman and you think would be a good Grand Marshal, Marshal or Honorary Guest bring their name, business and contact information to the meeting.
